I obtained my Pharmacy degree at Aston University in Birmingham, and joined Boots where I remained for 5 years. I then purchased a Pharmacy in Chesterfield and spent many years building the business and serving the needs of the local community. A change of direction then saw me working as a locum Pharmacist and I ultimately joined Blackwell Pharmacy as manager, and for a spell, as Superintendent.

I have always believed that when a patient comes into a Pharmacy they need our help, and my focus has always been on meeting that need. If that involves us going the extra mile, then that is what we will do.

Joining the Evans group has allowed Blackwell to widen the healthcare services we offer, including vaccinations and animal health products, as well as the usual EHC, NMS, MUR, etc.

It is important that we know our patients and customers, and deal with them as individuals which is the ethos of the excellent team here at Blackwell.

I qualified as a Pharmacist in 1991, completed a Masters in Business in 2013 and more recently a Postgraduate Diploma in Independent Prescribing.

Blackwell Pharmacy undertakes a range of services over and above the dispensing of prescriptions. We are able to provide vaccination services and deal with minor ailments without the need to visit your GP in a lot of cases.

We have a close working relationship with the Blackwell Medical Centre and GP Practices in the surrounding areas of Alfreton, Tibshelf and South Normanton.
